Found out I have a cataract, went out today for the Christmas tree, and now I have to finish some of my remodeling in order to make room for the tree.

Haven't gotten a tree yet, that's on tomorrow's agenda. Got some cookies baked and the buckeyes rolled (but not dipped yet). Will finish shopping tomorrow and have it wrapped by Sunday. I'll be ready!
Cataracts aren't good for night vision, makes driving difficult. I just went through that with my Dad last year, he shouldn't have been on the road. I was over-ruled by my siblings about taking his license away, but he had the cataracts removed and I hear his driving has improved. I won't ride with him to test it at this point, I had my say. It sucks when your parents get older, it tests a lot of relationships within families. So far, we've come out okay and that's a good thing. We disagree without attacking each other. At this point, we're just thankful that they're still here and in pretty decent health, considering their ages. So life is good
Oh, how could I forget? I'm a great-aunt, finally!. I made my oldest sibling a great 16 years ago and this is my first! I had kids early and they all had them late, so my youngest sister's kids are younger than my oldest grandchild. I was a young Mom and Grandmother, but I'm an old Great, LOL.
