Do you buy American goods, or does it matter to you?
US citizens of course.
It is hard to find American made goods, but do you actively try?
The Chinese rake I had purchased from True Value broke, exposing the four pieces of wood that had been glued together square like a box, and then made round on the outside to resemble a handle.
I spent a lot of time looking but finally found American made Hickory handles and was glad to pay the price for a real piece of quality wood for my yard tools.
It makes sense to search out Quality even if the price is a bit more, the benefits last longer.
We should bring back the quality and forget disposable junk, bargains are not always a bargain.
And sadly American doesn't always mean quality in this day and age, but it could mean more jobs here instead of elsewhere.
Moons.

I try to, Moons. I think we will start to see more demand for goods made in the US. Most of us should probably try to get over searching for cheap goods and stay away from Walmart. Our biggest shock was finding that all NRA apparel is made in Asia and it's impossble to find a Made in America ball cap.

Looking for a USA pans item now.
Here's a link that might be of interest.

I try to buy Canadian,or USA .I bought a Ford Edge built in Canada [Oakville} and parts of the vehicle is made in Peterborough,
a city 30 miles from where I live. Canada,or USA, it does not matter to me, although some times its very difficult to find something that is made in these two countries.
China is a country I really try to avoid at all cost. I find the quality of Canadian and USA. far superior than Asian made .
P.S. I wish Ibrahim would publish a book on judging the German Shepherd,it would not matter to me if it was made in Tmbuckto,I would certainly buy a copy.
Hi Ibrahim, how have you been keeping.

If I have a choice, I usually buy American even if it does cost more. There are some exceptions, say, as a matter of aesthetics.

Agree about Canadian products, Gouda.
That's a good website, I haven't purchased anything there for a long time. I think I'll take another look.
I guess I don't need to tell dog people to really read the bag before buying dog treats. Don't stop when you see the distribution location, doesn't necessarily mean the treats were made there. For dog treats, I 'll go with Canada, OZ or the US and most times I make my own. I never feed my dog anything made in China.

My wife thinks I'm a fanatic about it. I have not been in a walmart for at least 20 years. I always buy American if I can. But some things you just can't . A alternative is some countries I prefer over others due to labor practices.

I dunno, but I'm pissed the Herman Survivors sold out to WalMart. I am NOT Christmas shopping at WalMart. Last time I was there all the live fishing bait and even the night crawlers was imported !!! They don't even sell american worms for fishing !!! The only time I go to WalMart now is when someone texts me saying the turkeys and hams are on sale for 50 cents a pound. Then I'll drop what I'm doing and go to Walmart and buy every turkey and ham have. lol
Now Tractor Supply is going the same route and just lost a very good paying customer for Christmas. I always buy my guy family and friends Round House overalls ... TSC stopped Round House and has some crap from China that doesn't even have reinforced padding around the knee or gut area. What good are they to a farmer without knee and gut reinforcements ? So I bought 14 pair from Made in the USA Forever I made a post on FaceBook about TSC and someone sent me a free shipping plus 20% off total purchase coupon for this online store .. so I used it. lol
I dunno what I'm going to do about Herman Survivors - I've bought them direct all my adult life .. they were the best American Made work boot with steel toes ever. Unbelievable.

Here's a good listing of some American products. http://www.devvy.com/made_inthe_usa.html
As far as tools go, forget buying Chinese. They were inexpensive at first now just about as expensive
as good American.
For example, best electric drills, etc. are made by Milwaukee Tools.
