Officers who screw up or act like bullies are not the majority but get maximum media attention. Most police officers are highly professional and concerned with doing a good job and serving the public. Some heroically save victims from certain death and occasionally get media attention for those acts of heroism. Some officers are clearly superior and these officers need to get attention, like this officer who should be chief someday. This man is a credit to his department, to his jurisdiction and to his profession. He deserves highest commendations for resisting pressure to be manipulated and for following the rule of law and Constitution.
