Yes, very good point. It's just a starting point to give folks a rough idea of how the budget is broken down. It does not list all the needless and ridiculous expenses like funding of a research project to study the mating pattern of tree toads in the Amazon jungle or billions wasted on ridiculous centralized communitarian education programs like "no child left behind", while teachers and teachers aides are often underpaid and overworked.
Here is an interesting breakdown on gasoline taxes and profits. I was really shocked at how the numbers broke down when analyzed. It relates to the question of who makes the most of of gasoline sales, the oil companies or the Govt through taxes.
