We had a surprising fall here, one of the most colorful I've seen in recent memory.
Unfortunately I did not take any pictures this year.
Did any of you?
It would be very nice to see any you might have.

Didn't manage to take any photos but funnily enough the colours
have been glorious here in southern England this year too.
Starting to fade n fall now though. Last autumn wasn't a patch
on this one, for some climate reason or another.

Moons,
Fall was a bit early for us, we were getting glorious colors, but then Sandy hit. Ripped off every single maple leaf in her fit of fury. Then we had our October snow! With Christmas items already stocked on the store shelves..... who even remembers what happened to this Fall season, 2012 ?
This is about it, the story of New England, Fall 2012 in three pictures:

Happy Turkey Day ... coming soon, get stuffed, LOL

Here the thing is, we had such a bad drought that most of the leaves just turned yellow. I noticed Friday when I was going down thru the Arbuckles very little color--maybe one or two little batches but mostly everything is either yellow or green--the green is the cedars. My trees gere in the yard usually have some color but again yellow and since we have had 3 hard frosts what leaves are left on the trees are brown--deader than a doornail..................

Thank you Bee,
I hope everyone enjoys them as much as I do.
vonissk,
what part of the country are you in?
just curious.
We had drought too but the tree's still found a way.
So many different causes can have an effect.
