What's going to change, other than if I still can't afford it, I'll be penalized?

Don't know what went wrong there, I got an error on my original post.  I'm thinking it was a loose nut behind the keyboard Tongue Smile

Hey Moons, if nothing else, I know where the problem originates :)
Anyway, I've been looking into plans and they're anywhere from $200 to $700/month.  I can't afford that and from what I hear, it'll be going up by the time it's implemented.  I can't get any straight answers from anyone as to how this is a good thing, other than poor people won't pay anything.  And that makes no sense, because they don't pay now and they're covered 100% on everything from dental to eye care and everything in between.  So, what's the truth and what's BS?  Does anybody really know?

Most should be able to find a plan that would cost less than their monthly cell phone bill. The entire Affordable Health Care Act is on the net.

A shared responsibility requirement, commonly called an individual mandate,[17][18] requires that all individuals not covered by an employer sponsored health plan, Medicaid, Medicare or other public insurance programs, purchase and comply with an approved private insurance policy or pay a penalty, unless the applicable individual is a member of a recognized religious sect exempted by the Internal Revenue Service, or waived in cases of financial hardship.[19]
Health insurance exchanges will commence operation in each state, offering a marketplace where individuals and small businesses can compare policies and premiums, and buy insurance (with a government subsidy if eligible).[20]
Low income individuals and families above 100% and up to 400% of the federal poverty level will receive federal subsidies[21] on a sliding scale if they choose to purchase insurance via an exchange (those at 150% of the poverty level would be subsidized such that their premium cost would be 2% of income, or $50 per month for a family of four).[22]

First you need to denounce your American citizenship.

Go to Mexico and sneak across the border.

Move to MA and go on welfare. You will receive FREE health care, and a cellphone. Some here even get a free car with insurance and repairs paid for. Plus an apartment and food ETc ETC ETc, All FREE

If you have children we pay for their schooling it's again FREE. FREE being the key word.

We probably will send your children to College also, FREE of course.

I know I missed a bunch of other FREE things this state gives you, just talk to someone else on Welfare here and they will clue you in on everything that is FREE.

Definition of FREE. It's of course FREE to you. All you have to do is vote Democratic, a small price to pay for all the hospitality we provide.
