I'm not suggesting that mistakes weren't made but it's always easy for armshair quarterbacks who have never nor will ever be in a position to make such difficult decisions to come along after the fact and criticize.

Grossman, you are making nonsensical arguments and expressing complete falsities. Everything I posted is completely documentable if one chooses to dig. You probably do not even know that the USG starting importing massive amounts of illegal drugs back from Vietnam in Body cavities of dead American soldiers and other means. I knew a pilot that flew for Air America and told me about the black tar opium flown to Japan and then back into the USA after processing.
I heard it straight from an NSA man stationed in Australia Pine Gap that told me they tracked drug flights and were told it was all part of what was needed to finance the Montegnards and Mungs so it had to be tolerated. It was called Operation Whitestar. He and most of his colleagues were angry about this but didn't want to throw themselves on a sword so they let it go as ordered by higher ups. But they did talk about it later.
This is well documented history just as the massive USG drug dealing of Iran Contra, Mena Arkansas, Freeway Ricky Ross, Barry Seal, John Cathey, etc. Numerous court transcripts and depositions prove this beyond any reasonable doubt. This USG drug trafficking into the USA goes on to this very day and major Wall Street banks paying out token fines for being caught money laundering many billions of dollars of drug money which is still ongoing. This is even in the back pages of the major newspapers like the WSJ and NYT, so don't even try and deny it. You make yourself look life you are working out of the pentagon on operation sock puppet or a doofus at a local fusion center spying on and bothering civilians needlessly.
Now many folks say this cannot be true. For background go to any encyclopedia and look up Boxer Rebellion and Opium Wars. Narcotic trafficking was used as a weapon of war then and now too. Here's a question for you to ask yourself. Why would the USG use illegal narcotic trafficking as a tool of war against its own people? Now you may not know the answer, but those who have figured this out also understand the meaning of Ruby Ridge, Waco, Murrah and 911 and their response is to by semi-auto rifles with large capacity clips. If you ask some of these folks why and what their thinking is, they will tell you. Many believe that the USG has already declared a war on the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the American People. Who then are these folks who the USG is comprised of and who do they work for? Well if you fully research this you will find out they are bought and sold every election by K-Street Lobbyists who funnel many billions of USD into their campaign and to them personally in other ways. Just examine the number of folks in Congress who become millionaires many times over who started out with nothing and ask yourself how this happened. Then examine the revolving door phenomena between the USG and large offshore international corporations.

The USG has been hijacked by a foreign offshore based entity. Here is a complete description of how it was done. The folks pulling the strings have their own agenda and it is 180 degrees against the average US Citizens. It is an agenda to destroy the economy of America, asset strip it and make it into a third world country to be subdivided up so this kind of Republic can never occur again. I do have to agree--surprisingly, I'm sure--with Preston and Moons WRT the way Waco was handled... I will never forget that event, because I was watching a live news feed from the site when it was set on fire by the government's agencies, with everyone still inside, and I cannot escape from those images. I shouted for my parents and siblings to hurry into the room, that our government was attacking its own citizens. It did change how I view our government, and those who call the shots with regard to situations like this. I know what I saw, and no amount of spin from the government or the press will ever be able to change that.
I'm not suggesting that we should have ignored what was going on in that place, or permitted Koresh to continue his activities, but he could have been apprehended without bloodshed on one of his daily morning jogs--we didn't need to roast women and children alive.
That said, if nothing else, Waco ought to have taught those who argue that they need to be armed to the teeth so we can protect ourselves from the government that to do so is more dangerous than it is to be unarmed. Having an arsenal in one's place of residence only serves to ensure that you will be slaughtered where you sleep, if the government learns you have that stockpile and decides you are in violation of the law for something related or unrelated to the weaponry. I'd much rather not be incinerated in my house, nor do I want to be shot down there, either.
But, yeah, Waco was a mass murder perpetrated on American citizens by agents of the US government. Of that I have no doubt.
