BabyEagle4U

by BabyEagle4U on 19 December 2012 - 15:12

Gouda, yes I have read it all after 911. Because before 911 I never even heard of Islam or Muhammad. Then after I read up, I joined a PalTalk chat for weeks sitting and listening to people of Islam speak ... I profiled every speaker and chatter in those rooms for weeks and NEVER did I get the impression they hated us. The only thought that came close to dislike was they didn't like our Military in their countries.

Moons,

You know what really pisses me off, is at my Job I cannot or not recommended to say Merry Christmas because it might offend some people, I have to say happy holidays instead.
I still say it, they are not going to fire me from job, I still say and I don't care.

shtal,
at least your finally speaking from your own mind, even though the second post is a rerun.

Your no longer the majority, neither am I.
I still say Merry Christmas too, but I do not demand it of others.

BabyEagle, you're wrong, that wouldn't make me happy, nor do I care that the radio station stopped playing it.  I don't personally care, that's up to the radio station.  The station usually plays what their listeners like and if they play something else, people stop listening.  But I'd still like to know who it is that's forcing the radio stations to stop and even if that's the case, how can you not celebrate Christmas because of it?  There are plenty of CDs out there, I have plenty!  When religious Christmas Carols are outlawed, let me know.

Shtal, I tell people "Merry Christmas" all the time, but if my employer had a policy, I'd stick to it.  Work is work, personal life is personal life.  That's still not a reason to be unpleasant if someone else expresses that sentiment.  All you'd have to do is say "Thank you, you too!".

GSDtravels

BabyEagle, I just read over your post above and I want to know what it is you're talking about.  It seems to me you pulled this argument out of thin air.

"Travels, have you ever read the Quran, Sunnah or Hadiths ? Because if you did, you would know there is no rival between Muhammad and Jesus or Jesus and Muhammad. The only difference is Muhammad was demanding and outspoken about nonbelievers (he wasn't talking about Jesus followers or any follower of God for that matter - he was talking about people who deny God. You know, people like you. Not people who believe in God."

Where is this argument coming from?  What has the relationship between Muhammad and Jesus have to do with the issue at hand?  And where was I asserting what you're refuting?

"The only difference, I see, is in America (where I live) state and conquest religion is a no no. No state or conquest religion can rule - especially your no God religion."

You are correct that no state religion can rule, but you can take it a step further and assert that there can be no state religion to begin.

To the second part of this statement, where did I ever say what religion I follow, if any?  I don't think I've done that, my stance has been for neutrality.  And you are mistaking neutrality for Atheism.  Neutrality is just that, no metion of the existence of a God, or the non-existence of a God, or any question as to whether there's a God.  That's what Churches are for and the fact that there can be a Church on every corner, and they can preach any religion, as long as they don't violate common laws, proves that there is open freedom of religion.  And those Churches and any participating members may express their beliefs by displaying anything they want on their own properties.  The can have all the awe, reverence or bling they want and they don't have to hide it.  But when they leave that domain and walk among their other-believing or non-believing civil peers, the respect of neutrality should be shown both ways.  So not including religion is not the Atheist "religion", it is neutrality for a pecaeful co-existence.  The only time I have ever heard of Athiests erecting signs, is when they are opposing religious signs on public property.  And instead of seeing how insulting it is to have someone else promote their own views, they just label the other view as evil and continue on their merry way!  I have never seen anyone protest religious symbols on private property.  Athiests have been asking Christians to respect the legal neutrality of the public domain for a couple of centuries and they have been shouted down.  They didn't push their opinions, they just asked The Christians to do the same as they had been doing, keeping their views in their rightful place.  Now they're being forced to tell you why they don't like it, you see it as being an attack!  Keep your religion where it belongs and it wouldn't be an issue.  GEEZ, how much more simple can it be?  If you can't prove it, you can keep it, but you can't use it to force others!

"As a note ... the year of our Lord is in every preamble of each and every state constitution, US Constitution and Declaration of Independence - sooo God is respected here in the federal government and in all 50 states. FYI. So if Muhammad and Jesus was alive today or alive together back then, there would be peace between them and our respected countries".

Now you're really stretching!  A legal terminology to denote a time stamp is not the inclusion of religion into government.  Since there was no secular calendar, they had to use the one that was in common use.  So don't be silly.

Those videos are propaganda because there is no hate or disrespect between Jesus and Muhammad or Muhammad and Jesus. Just saying.

Where are you getting the notion that the premise of the videos rests on the commonalities or differences in the Bible and the Qaran?  If that's what you took away, I don't know if you watched the same videos.

"I can't believe people like you want to take Christmas from us ... are you serious ?"

Well actually no, I'm not serious.  Where did I say I wanted to take Christmas away from anybody?  I guess that means I'll have to take my tree down and return all the gifts I bought?  Are YOU serious?

Here's what I don't understand.  Maybe your Christmas means something different than what you portray.  I guess I should have asked you to define your Christmas.

See, my Christmas would be celebrated if everyone else in the US, or the world, for that matter, decided tomorrow that there would be no more Christmas.  Nothing would change for me, other than having to be creative finding a live tree.  Now, maybe my entire family wouldn't be able to get the day off if it fell during the week, but we'd sure whoop it ip on the first day we could all be together!  Kind of like changing all the legal holidays to Monday, I guess Christmas would just have to be a Sunday.

So, maybe Christmas means something different to you, but I know I'm not missing mine for anybody!

Shtal,  just saw that you asked a question on this thread:

Could Ruger1, Redsable, ggtuner, GSDguy08, Gouda, BabyEagle4U, desert_dog, yellowrose of Texas or any other christian perhaps could explain to me.

(Judges ch2: ver.6-15)

How is so oddly what scriptures speaks about this fourth generation of Israelis, they did not knew Lord God and his great works and the results from this “shows” they became idol worshippers, and how naturally the divine reaction, anger of the Lord was upon them…And the hand of the Lord that stood “favour of “ on the side of there fathers and grandfathers blessing them, suddenly it stood against them, and the hand of the Lord that gave victory against the enemy, suddenly it stood against them, to them for evil how scriptures says and they were greatly distressed (Judges 2:15). And here is very important question I have?
So we could discuss, how is so, devotional (godly) fathers and grandfathers who knew Lord God and worshiping him, and so (after them) rose the entire new generation who became idol worshippers, and how naturally anger of the Lord was upon them, I will say more, this fourth generation of Israel bear next “5th” generation who became even worse than they were.

I'm not sure what you are asking, but perhaps these sites will help:
