HI EVERYONE, NEED SOME MORE ADVICE, HOW CAN A PERSON HELP YOUR GSD TO TOUGHEN HIS PADS, APART FROM EXERCISE IS THERE ANYTHING A PERSON CAN DO TO HELP NATURE.

Called "Blue Foot Pad Conditioner". Used by gun dog owners for years. Also works great for concrete runs.

dog owners want to do that, so they don"t bleed on rough concrete, gravel, or in the winter in icy conditions. Dog's pads are sensitive. Just imagine you would walk around with blisters on your feet, ouch!

Yeah but doesn't that increase the possibility of the pad cracking to the point of bleeding?

No, I think toughening up means thickenen them, not drying them out so they crack. Just like our feet. My little 3 year old could not walk barfoot on gravel, but adults can. We have thicker skin under our feet.
