Maverick I think your dog is nice, with a nice background too. As for the stack, you have his head up high by the looks of the leash, I think it should be held in a more natural position. His front legs should be more under his body, they are a little forward and his back left could be pulled back a bit more.

I don't know alot about stacking but he sure is a beautiful dog. Nice pedigree too. I guess because my pup has Esko vom Dänischen Hof in his lines too.

Which Steffenhaus kennel is this dog from the US one or the European one.?
by sdchargers on 13 July 2007 - 21:07
I can answer the luvmidog question, I assuume its from the US because the mothers hips are not done and the mother has NO titles. Did you get your prelims done on him? thanks Deanna

Jane Steffenhagen, who owns the US Steffen-Haus puts a hyphen in her name, and Sdchargers: your assumption was wrong...Why would you say that Jane's kennel , who is Heads Above the Rest would be noted for no hips and no titles....of course, she sells pups and young dogs with no titles., if they are for selling. She in by no means is a kennel without a merit....Her bitch Jada v Steffen-haus and Hoss v Hasenborn are the grandparents of my german shepherd.....I understand ,from others, that she ,having a kennel in Germany and here, is without a doubt the breeder of great german shepherds.., and for years the Steffen-Haus kennel were in the top .like the MittleWest is now .Jane is enjoying horse racing and I hope , still in good health....
I ask the question , because a lot of people just put Steffenhaus and forget the hyphen ...I became aware that there are a few other dogs from Europe with the SteffenHaus name that are not from her kennel....I know she sold the one in Germany...but am not privey to who owns it or if they are still breeding and using her name....
Maybe someone here can anwer that.question. further...

The only reason I brought this to light , is there are several dogs registered with same names from the Steffenhaus name...and one is V-1 Bravos Vom Steffen-Haus SchH111, KKl-la "a" 1994 Vize Jugendlklasse Sieger, Bremen, Germany , and the parents of this dog belonging to Jane Steffenhagen, are VA Hoss bom Hasenborn SchH 111, FH, IPO 3 KKL-laLbz "a" and V-1 Dhorne du Clos de Savoic SchH11, KKl-La Lbz "a" V-3 Int. Sieger Show Germany, VA-France, VA- Switzerland. This Bravos is a 1/2 brother to one of my shepherds...
The other V-1 Bravos von Steffenhaus has a different parentage and is not the same dog....but in the database here and presents some confusion to those that are not privey to this fact....Everyone should be careful not to assume info , and to make clear about each dog talked about so as not to get facts mixed up.... I sure would not want two dogs with same exact name,,,,I know there are a lot of first names the same and I have seen people say "bred back to Grief" okay Grief who....always provide the whole name as there are many same names..Just wanted to make sure which dog you had, as it is a very nice candidate for you to achieve your goals with..

hi luvmidog, my dog is from the steffenhaus kennels that owns Bravos Steffenahus (not the US Steffen-haus). My male's mother is bravos' sister. I have heard about the US Steffen-Haus kennels but I did not buy my male from them. This is as far as I know, hope this info clears things up . thanks for the comments on my dog. If anyone requires more info on my dog pls let me know
