The pictures are incredibly squished in the frame.  Not good for critiquing.

Anybody know if this is happening because of the new forum format?

The sable boy has beautiful pigment, nice substance, masculine head, croup appears to be of good length but steep, could use more angulation in the rear in my oppinion.  I like the outline of the light dog, front appears to be slightly east/west in the photo, nice head, croup is of good length and looks to be in good postion, high whither, pigment is faulty but I think the dog is quite good looking.

I agree, the second dog is striking, and I personally love the balance.

To the OP, have you had the second dog since a youngster?  I am just super fascinated by the coloration.  If the dog faded out, this would be my first time seeing fading to such an extreme.

yes i have had her since 7 weeks and him since 15 weeks she actuly never relly faded out but she went through a phase where she almost got All black but white feet and her face and then it faded back out to that color.

6 Weeks      the other 2 are about 15 -20 weeks somewhere in there

9 weeks     and then 7

She seems to have a white blaze as an adult, but not as a puppy. That doesn't really make sense... o.0

nope mother was a dark black and tan father was a very light cream and black i think he possably had white in his lines. i have met one other akc registered female who is almost identical to mine. they bred her to a black and tan male and produced more puppys that looked like the mother about half the litter the other half was black and tan. i love studying color genetics but this one is just strange XD i almost thought maby a wolf got in the mix somewhere. but when i did the genetic tests on her it came back german shepherd when i started questioning it and then her structure was nice, but i dont mind she is my wonder dog and the BEST tracking dog i have ever had or worked with she since she started has never missed her track since a 6 month old dog.
