Critique on 7 Month old Female - Page 1

This is my 7 month old female. Granddaughter of Voodoo Hartis Bohemia. First successful stack. Photo taken with an ipod, hence the bad quality. Let me know what you think of her.



And here are some front-view photos. (with an actual camera! but at different times of day, making the colors look either washed out or vibrant)

do you want a "real conformation" critique or a "working line" critique?

Nice pup, good bone, lovely color.

A bit of both?  

The first photo of her in a stack seems like it may be a bit distorted?  Or the length of her body is pretty short and thick.  Her pigment is good, she looks nicely firm and dry, very good looking paws on her.  Croup is a tad steep, but otherwise fine by me, she has a nice topline.

Could you get some more photos of her in a stack?  I want to see if she still looks short bodied in them.   

It does look like the first pic wasn't resized in correct proportion.

I see what you mean by the distortion. I was on my nook a couple of minutes ago and saw that the photo was indeed distorted. Sorry 'bout that! But the funny thing is, on my computer, it looks just fine.(might be the fact that it was taken with an ipod!) Well, I am going to try to get a few more stacking photos today, with my camera of course.

I think the issue is the forum change.  I've seen this problem on several threads

As a matter of fact the pic is not distorted, it's the new PDB that does this, at 125% zoom the pic was distorted for me, I reduced to 100% and the pic is fine now, I will comment on her shortly.

dark Black/tan long coated/lond stock coated female GSD of good type and medium size. Good overall substance, bones and pigment. Correct proportions, height to length and leg to chest depth. Nice head of good size, good proportions and good planes, Beautiful dark mask but eye is rather light. Nice long and strong neck, good high withers of sufficient length, strong back of good length, short coupled, slightly short and steep croup, nice tailset and tail. Overall a nice straight and slightly sloping topline. Very good front angulation, notable fore chest development, vey good front upper arm, very good lay of shoulder blade. Clean front, good paterns and good feet. Underline could be better, good hind angulation but inferior to that of the front. Slightly long hocks but good feet.
