For the second straight week the owner of Castlebrook's Vogue has shown her female at a WDA event , and the result has been the same - LAST PLACE !  To be fair to the dog & owner she is at first glance much better than the placements however the reasoning behind the poor record is not a mystery Vogue has no SV Koerung and she is according to the SV , ED DYSPLASTIC and therefore is not eligible for a V rating. While i understand the owner is very proud of her female i must question why she continues to show her ?  Also it is troubling that she then makes misleading statements publicly that the Judge at the Bur Oak show said " Vogue would have been 2nd "  , if someone takes the time to look back at the Show record of Vogue that comment simply does not stand up. Also as far as the comment that " here we come UScA Sieger Show 2013 "  well Vogue must first pass the Protection Phase  ( which she failed at the 2012 UScA Sieger Show ). I think it is time for the UScA  to play by the same rules as the WDA and more importantly thye SV and exclude dogs who are DYSPLASTIC from ALL Shows.

Interesting. So you're saying that films were submitted to the SV of this bitch's elbows, and the SV rating is dysplastic?  Given that the OFA rating for the elbows of this bitch is Normal [and her hips are OFA Good], I find your assertion rather difficult to believe...why is your ox being gored over it, anyway?  Frankly, if a dog isn't officially banned from the showring, and an owner wants to exhibit the dog week-in and week-out even though the animal never places better than last, why is it anyone's business at all?  Sounds like there may be something personal driving this post....

I am Vogue's owner and co-breeder. I am sure you are correct Hexe. Why would anyone care?
We have all been through this before: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/forum.read?mnr=631773&pagen=1
In short Vogue DOES NOT HAVE ED DYSPLASIA. OFA proves it. The injury caused the SV failure and they would not allow resubmission.
Vogue loves to show and why not let her do what she loves. She did not finish last in the Prairie State show! She finished second and the judge said to everyone that he would have placed her first if her owner had not run so slow in the off leash.THATS a FACT! (bozo's dog was probably behind her! lol) She was officially disqualified AFTER the final judging was over, because of only OFA elbows.
She was entered into Herr Mai's show because I happen to think he is the best SV judge out there and is retiring. I wanted his opinion of Vogue. Is that any of your business??? By the way I have the video and recorded critique of Herr Mai and in it he says for all to hear that she was the BEST female in the class! He did not have one bad thing to say about her. He said because of the rules she had to be placed last. I ask him personally after the show where he would have actually placed her and he said second. Right in between 2 VA dogs!!! don't know exactly why the discrepancy there but I am satisfied with either!! lol  I will put the final link up after we are done putting the video together. But until then here is what we have for now, mostly so that you can see and hear exactly what was said and show that bozo is all green!   http://youtu.be/BC83hTjYvJ8
Her show record is phenomenal! Herr Scharschmidt, her judge in the BSZS 2010 told the handler and me that he would have put her in first ring had she had ED/HD. So the 178 or whatever it was is not fitting either.

You know your dog is getting to the top and becoming a threat when people start this kind of BS attacks. lol

What rule requires him to put her last?  Is it the elbow rating from the SV?  What if she didn't have that and only had OFA?

I think your dog is beautiful, I would love to own her.

by JudyK on 15 October 2012 - 19:10

Keith, under the WDA rules for a dog to be shown in the working class over the age of 3 1/2 they must have a recognized breed survey.  Recognized means by the SV and the SV requires SV elbows.  USCA accepts OFA elbows so therein is the issue.  Vogue has a USCA breed survey which is not recognized by the SV.  Unfortunate because Vogue is a stunning female.

Yes, Keith it is both. The WDA requires SV elbows, so even if she hadn't failed the SV elbows she would still could not V in the WDA.
LARHAGE, thank you! I LOVE your avatar dog!! Who is it?
Thank you Judy, good to finally officially meet you at the show!
USCA will treat Vogue right.

Interesting; I wonder why the WDA requires the SV rating?  Do they think it's superior?  Is it the same for hips?

Edited to add...just answered my own question; the WDA apparently allows OFA results for hips but not elbows for breed survey purposes...WTF?

by JudyK on 15 October 2012 - 20:10

The distinction is that OFA only has a pass/fail rating for elbows whereas the SV has multiple ratings for elbows as they do for hips.  So they see the OFA rating system as unacceptable since it's only pass/fail.  The SV will allow OFA hips because the ratings are similar to the SV with multiple rating levels.
