Thank you, Ibrahim! I like her topline, too. Ranger was a rescue from a BYB, so he doesn't have very good structure, except for a really awesome male head.

Edith, I KNEW there was some Ursus blood in those females! He produces nice, feminine heads, good tight feet and high withers. The ears tend to be on the large side (though Star also got that from her dam's side.)

The more I get to know these dogs, the easier it is to spot inherited characteristics. Star is ASL on her dam's side, and when I first showed a picture of her to someone who'd been breeding for about 40 years, she said, "She looks like the dogs I used to breed back in the '70s and 80s."

As I researched her pedigree, guess what I found?

She was DESCENDED from the dogs that breeder had had back in the '70s and 80s! Omg Smile

WOW!  Now, if I can spot bloodlines going back THAT far, I'll truly be able to call myself a dog person!  Teeth Smile

Hi Sunsilver,

And guess what, my dogs have amazing drive as well as being dogs you can live with. The girls pictured and others from this combo also have great hips and elbows and are very athletic. I had a police scout want to buy their mother. I have had 2 individuals that breed for police work amazed that showline could be this good. I just wish I had more tme to train. My job this year has taken up too much of my time :(
