Yes, Keith, the WDA wants to be like Germany and the SV does not accept OFA elbows but they do hips. I guess the SV doesn't think that OFA is reliable on elbows... so that puts Vogue into the middle of all the conflict.  I personally think that every country has the right to accept or not accept another countries certification, but it urks me to no end that one of OUR countries club's will not accept their own countries certification! This should not be! Every country should recognize their own ratings.

WOW:  welcome to dog shows USA /SV style??

PS:  lovely bitch by the way.

First, yes Vogue is a very nice female, djc you hear things that no one else does ( which is convenient for the legend of Vogue ) there is a common theme in your stories. You tell people Scharschmidt said this and after the Kentucky show Grewes said he made a mistake in placing her 3rd and she was really the best dog in group & now Mai said she was really first OMG ! Yes she is a nice female but there are alot of nice females, oh and maybe some of the anger shown towards the situation is from the misrepresentation you made at Prairie State to the Judge when you told him Vogue was Breed Surveyed and you knew she was not according to the SV. I guess the SV is wrong about her Elbow Dysplasia also. As for the 2013 UScA SS i wish you good luck - but first there is a pesky TSB exercise - or let me guess Judge Rocque said she would have received a Protection Award if not for ? Well you fill in the blank - you are good at fiction

I don't know Debby personally though I have seen her at many shows since we are the same area, but I do not own any of her dogs so what I say is what I mean just based on my own observation and not any vested interest in her breeding program.  I was present for Vogue's breed survey.  No it was not an "SV breed survey" but this is the USA, the SV is not our national club and like it or not, USA does breed surveys.  I watched (from the center of the ring, since I am a show photographer) Vogue get V3 and then complete the survey the next day so yes, she has a breed survey from Grewe and she passed the bitework on that day.  As far as conformation Vogue is absolutely one of my favorite females at the moment and as I am mostly a working line person, not a breeder, and only care to own male dogs it is rare for a female to catch my eye.  When I saw Vogue last spring I was wishing she would come be bred to my show line male so I could have a nice puppy to show :)

The problem with the WDA accepting OFA elbows is that they have no conformation judges of their own. They rely exclusively on SV judges for conformation and breed surveys and those judges cannot accept OFA elbows.  I agree Debby that we should accept ratings from our own country but I don't see that happening until the WDA has their own judges and I'm not holding my breath on that one.

Bozo,
Have you spoken with Scharschmidt? Or maybe her handler at the BSZS - Helmut Tepferd? If not and you were not next to the judge saying this then until you confirm that they did not maybe you should not make yourself look like such a fool! lol  Too bad you are hiding behind your bozo name! lol Have you spoken with anyone who was there at the breed survey? Have you spoken with Johannes? It was actually Cheryl Nance that pointed out what Johannes said. Talk to her! When you have then you can come back and apologize! YES SHE IS breed surveyed and that is the correct answer. Whether someone or some judge or some club want to accept it or not is up to them. The FACT is is that she IS and they had the copy and the original to see. Are you going to lie once more and say she came in last at Prairie State?  OMG!!! YOU have the video link to see and listen to!! Still you make a fool of yourself trying to say Herr Mai didn't say she was the BEST in the class! You are a REAL JOKE! YES the SV IS wrong! OFA proves it!! Of course there are many wonderful and even better females out there! lol Did I say Vogue was the only one? Did I say that Vogue was even the BEST one? Nope!  I would not assume that. Did I start this post to brag? Nope! That's just not me. The dog speaks for it's self!!! She's been beaten a quite a few times and I imagine she will be beaten a few more in her lifetime. WHY DO YOU CARE SO MUCH?  You really sound very petty and silly!  You can ask what Herr Flinks, Mike Diehl, Thomas Schoder, etc think about Vogue's bite work and then leave that concern to me. You must really think that your dog is substandard to Vogue and Vogue, hence, is a threat. Well, you know what, I also wish you luck, because you are going to need it in WI!

Judy that is only partly correct. The SV judges will follow the club they are judging at's rules. How else do you think they breed survey and judge dogs in UScA?

Thanks VKGSDs! Thanks NAN!
Just want to ad here, that I am basically a nobody in the GSD world. I have had GSDs since I was 12 and am now 54. I didn't start breeding until 12 years ago when I had an exceptional dog. This dog drove me to do research and find out what made him exceptional. I all of these 12 years I have tried to improve and make my dogs stronger and better with each breeding. Vogue is actually my first real success and it took me 9 years to get her! I tried to breed Vogues mother to Gucci himself 3x to no avail. Then when Lida asked about co-breeding a female to her Gucci son, I jumped on it.  Vogue is from that long awaited litter and she has proven herself to be pretty much everything I wanted out of that breeding! Of course I am proud of her. I have every right to be. She is a first for me. I know there are many breeders out there that have had many many successes and fantastic dogs and some have had some heartbreaks and bad luck too. The road has been bumpy and full of curves, but Vogue and I have navigated them all so far. I make no apologies for the love and pride I have in my dog! If she never makes VA I will love her just the same, but at the same time I feel I owe it to her to give her the best chance I can to achieve as much as she can and go as high as she can go. Where the wheel stops is fine, but I will not let her be cheated out of achievement either! Strike the pose Vogue!! Be all you can be!! I'll be there beside you win or loose!

That's very interesting Debby.  I wasn't aware of that.  Then it really doesn't make any sense for the WDA to deny OFA elbows.
