For those who take pride in following the SV standard to the T,and title, "a" stamp, Breed Survey etc... do you always xray elbows and send them out to either OFA or Germany, BEFORE breeding your dog/bitch? If you do not, Why don't you? Regards, Dawnmarie

I always x-ray and register my dog's hips and elbows before breeding...either OFA or A Stamp...it's becomimg more and more prevelent that elbows are bad...even when I bring in dogs from over seas...most people want hips but I always ask for elbows too...!

by Dawnmarie on 25 October 2004 - 00:10

Bob, thats what i hear. It can only help and if the dogs are getting their hips done anyway, just do the elbows for 90.00 or whatever it costs elsewhere. Puppies should be done at 6 months to check for UAP too...
