Importing a pregnant GSD and bringing it to the US. How do we register the offspring of an imported pregnant GSD to AKC? I know we have to register the female first, but how does the litter work? Thank you.

Wish you luck if importing from certain locations/'breeders'. Hope you have done your research, and get your dog.

After registering the female, you'll need to DNA test her too with the AKC. You'll also need a copy of the foreign sire's pedigree and official paperwork stating that the mother and father bred overseas (This should be done at time of mating). Everything should be listed on the AKC's website on how to submit all paperwork.
