Ultimate Working Dogs will host a K9 seminar with a Belgium Police K-9 Handler, Jan Sieuw.  Jan has been a police inspector since 1986 and has been with their K-9 program since 1991.  He is a full time K-9 trainer, selector, and coach.  Jan has been working with dogs for 31 years and has primarily worked with German Shepherds, Dobermans, Malinois', and Dutch Shepherds with KNVP Bloodlines.  In 2008, Jan won the International Police Dog Challenge with his female Dutch Shepherd, Ti-Kumi. He also currently breeds working dog Dutch Shepherds from KNVP lines.

We will be concentrating on obedience and control work for police dogs as well as article/evidence recovery and apprehension scenarios.  Jan would also like to feature "raising a puppy or young adult" into a Police Working Dog.  We recently found the need for this portion of the seminar due to so many departments asking about raising a puppy to help reduce the cost of a working dog.

The seminar is scheduled for September 15-16, 2012 in South Charleston, WV.  The place of venue will be Little Creek Park off of Kanawha Terrace.  The cost of the seminar is $150.00 for K-9 teams (Limited to 15 teams) and $30.00 per day for spectators.  There are several motels in the area that offer police dogs to stay with their handlers.  Motel 6 in Cross Lanes, Comfort Inn in Cross Lanes, and Holiday Inn in South Charleston.
