I want to thank people in advance for responces. Please no snippy or deragatory replies, I am posting this here for the vast amount of experience by many different people, not to be called names.

Now the issue.

I have nine dogs and all of them have been vomiting off and on. When they do it is not continuous, it is one incident and done. If it were one dog or two dogs a vomiting once each in a week I would concider that not unusuall. But I have had 2 to five dogs vomiting almost every morning, it is just at or just before first light in the morning, at least 8 to 10 hours after their dinner feeding. It is not the same dogs every morning. It is straight bile that they are throwing up, no food, hair, horse hoof, etc. It does not continue throughout the day, just early morning.

Everybody is acting fine, eating, playing, their normal obnoious selves.

There has been blood work on two dogs, both normal and healthy.

Any ideas out there.

What are you feeding them, what to they have to chew on and have to play with?

Considering that all of the vomiting dogs are generally healthy, worm free and vet checked (priority) - from a holistic standpoint - there are several options:
  • consider food choices (vitamin supplements can cause high acidity levels, so can some foods)
  • consider time of feeding (some dogs vomit bile when they go hungry)
  • consider stress level (what happens before and after the time they are vomiting)
  • consider number of dogs in one kennel (one dog/one kennel, except nursing moms)
If you would like to consider homeopathy I can recommend one dose of Nux Vomica C30, 15 minutes after night feeding. Nux vomica is also available in combination remedies such as homeopathic gastro-intestinal drops such as Gastrosine from Boiron.

It is not uncommon for dogs to vomit if their stomach is upset. In some cases, feeding smaller amounts twice a day can help. However, it is also not uncommon to see dogs vomit, just as you describe, especially early in the am when they have worms. My first suggestion would be to treat all the dogs for worms, and possibly also test for giardia etc. as the treatment can vary depending on what is present. What you describe is not necessarily a big deal, but it is irritating.

Feed them more frequently, maybe increase food, worm them. Bile usually means too long between feedings, the stomach is too empty.

My male was doing that same thing. I was given the advice to feed his last meal later in the evening and to cut his food down to two times daily....He has not vomited once since the change.....

                   Good luck....

Yes, I do have one dog that is netorious for vomiting in the morning if she gets excited before breakfast. But that has always been after I have started moving around and she is thinking about food.

The others have never had that problem.

This is happening usually between 3:30 and 5:00 in the morning, that is long before they are usually moving in the morning. When I have to get up that early, they usually do not start to even lift their heads up until light.

Their feeding schedule hasn't changed. They get feed twice a day. They are clear of worms. Giardia should cause more frequent vomiting and diarhea(none).  There has been no change in food.

The idea of acidity may be a good one. I will have to have the acidity of the water checked. With well water that certainly may have changed.

When do they get feed at night?  Maybe right before you turn into bed are 11 pm give them all a dog food snack.
Always,

It is not common or normal for dogs to vomit every day . First I would check for grass in the bile.
Also:
There are new infections, I believe related to kennel cough, which can make your dog puke. In last 2-3 years  when I imported a dog from Europe  all my dogs in the kennel started to puke. I put them on sulfa and it stops in a week or so. If not treated it will last for long time. Dogs in Europe are used to it and have antibodies against it. If any of your dog was in contact with imported dog or you go to some dog club or dog park your dogs will get it. Now my dogs are used to it too and there no more problems.
