Now the issue.
I have nine dogs and all of them have been vomiting off and on. When they do it is not continuous, it is one incident and done. If it were one dog or two dogs a vomiting once each in a week I would concider that not unusuall. But I have had 2 to five dogs vomiting almost every morning, it is just at or just before first light in the morning, at least 8 to 10 hours after their dinner feeding. It is not the same dogs every morning. It is straight bile that they are throwing up, no food, hair, horse hoof, etc. It does not continue throughout the day, just early morning.
Everybody is acting fine, eating, playing, their normal obnoious selves.
There has been blood work on two dogs, both normal and healthy.
Any ideas out there.

What are you feeding them, what to they have to chew on and have to play with?

- consider food choices (vitamin supplements can cause high acidity levels, so can some foods)
- consider time of feeding (some dogs vomit bile when they go hungry)
- consider stress level (what happens before and after the time they are vomiting)
- consider number of dogs in one kennel (one dog/one kennel, except nursing moms)

My male was doing that same thing. I was given the advice to feed his last meal later in the evening and to cut his food down to two times daily....He has not vomited once since the change.....
Good luck....

The others have never had that problem.
This is happening usually between 3:30 and 5:00 in the morning, that is long before they are usually moving in the morning. When I have to get up that early, they usually do not start to even lift their heads up until light.
Their feeding schedule hasn't changed. They get feed twice a day. They are clear of worms. Giardia should cause more frequent vomiting and diarhea(none). There has been no change in food.
The idea of acidity may be a good one. I will have to have the acidity of the water checked. With well water that certainly may have changed.

Also:
There are new infections, I believe related to kennel cough, which can make your dog puke. In last 2-3 years when I imported a dog from Europe all my dogs in the kennel started to puke. I put them on sulfa and it stops in a week or so. If not treated it will last for long time. Dogs in Europe are used to it and have antibodies against it. If any of your dog was in contact with imported dog or you go to some dog club or dog park your dogs will get it. Now my dogs are used to it too and there no more problems.
