please help a person I know said during winter months you should put 2 table spoons of
sunflower oil on your dogs food.I use a good quality food ie pro plan is this alright to put
oil on top of this food over the winter months.they said it would help keep there coats shine
and help with joints. please advise me rachel.

Use safflower oil, much better then sunflower oil. 2 Tblsp is too much, maybe only need 1.

I use Extra virgin Olive Oil on dogs food and I use it to cook with and use it on dry skin..it has many good properties and the Mediterrean people are nice and sassy because they use it for everything....

LOL we buy gallons per year and we use it for everything. In fact its the only oil in my home. Dogs get it from time to time as well.

I use Canola oil... the one with the Omega 3 oil added to it. I buy the gallon size of it at Costco.

Yes it is good to use One good reason is it is a polyunsaturated oil and should be bought cold pressed , virgin and not the blended or cheap brands..
Safflower oil is actually related to the Sunflower...
Use all oils in small quantities and there are not side effects , in extra virgin Olive OIl...I cannot say that about the others as I have never used them...
Being Olive oil is an oil from saturated you may prefer it.. I still chose Ex v Olive for me.
You are ok and fine to use it NO problems and it is great for what you want....skin especially.
