Did you buy this dog as a puppy? If so, how old is he/she now? What titles, certifications, Health Clearances have you done with the dog?

60-70 hours a week?  sounds like you didn't have time for a dog in the first place.

Wow this is the first post where the breeder is getting slammed because a buyer wants their money back due to their own issues. If we could get back what we paid for dogs that we put into, I personally would be the happiest person in the world. Dogs unfortunately do not gain value as they age unless you spend a few thousand to title them then a few more thousand to campaign.  And unless the dog is Ursus Batu or the likes, you still never get back what you paid. For those of us who love our dogs, its a small price to pay.

I have to ask, where is your responsibility in this?

Jenn, I found this Message really sad to read.  (Hopefully was not intended as it sounded).  To say your dog was; "Not worth it" - My own dogs (or any other animal) are all PRICELESS.  I could not put a price on anyone's life (human or animal).

If you have children and have high prospects for them to go to University and have an excellent career, but they have no such aspirations, would you make such a scathing remark about them?

In what way are you disappointed in your prospects for this dog?  Is there a possibility that you may have expected the road of training to be easy based on the dog's own background, and needing only a small effort and input from yourself?  (This query is not a slam at you.  It is surprisingly common that folk often do not realise or expect the amount of work that is required from them to learn, in order to help their dog to learn too).

Jenn, you do say that you love your dog.  Could this message be because you are feeling highly stressed by having to move home, and your jobs taking as you indeed say; "Way too much of your time".  That you are very upset at realising that you have been unable to give the time necessary to your dog, and now realise even less in the future.   Therefore concluded that to re-home would be more beneficial to your dog?

If this is the case, take full stock of your situation and all the members therein, take one step at a time.  You may understandably be feeling hurt and guilt, if you feel it is in the interests of your dog to have a new home, I am sure I do not need to remind you to ensure he is found the very best home possible.

People need work to earn an income, but no-one on their death-bed ever remarked that they wish they had spent more time at the Office!

Be kind to yourself Jenn, think clearly and do the very best for the future of your family and your dog.

With Kind Regards,
Vixen

I find this very sad.  If I had to place my dog, I'd be happy to find a good home and wouldn't be worried about recouping any money.  The dog's well being would be foremost.

Dog as commodity?  Sounds like it will be better off with someone else.

I just saw their website  .... Nicely done!!!!  really liked the layout

as for the post I have to agree with many who already posted. I have dogs that there is no amount of money could buy but if I had to place them then I would give them to a friend of mine for free who I know that would spoil the hell out of them.  They would live out their lives and be loved.

I'm not impressed by their website or their breeding program but that's beside the point.  You've had this dog for four years, have done very little with him, and are now advertising him as a potential stud dog when he's really little more than a nice rescue at this point.  Neuter him, find him a good home where he'll be loved and appreciated and don't get another dog until your situation is such that you are positive you can care for him for life.
