Since the other thread disoved into something unrelated...
I took screen shots of the add and to what it redirects too when one clicks certain buttons on the forum. For me it happens when I log in and hit the submit button, the PM functions and as of today the forum buttons.
Basical what happens is you click on the button and it will redirect you to the ASPCA money pledge website. You have to hit the same button again to actual go where you wanted to go.
ASPCA is a rescue animal organization. Here is the add that expands when you accidentely go over it with the mouse, and the redirection to pledge money with embedded video.
Are you able to do anything or is it out of your hands?

yes SP, however, the adblock will also mess up application from the intranet of my work place when I log in from home.

This ad will activate even if you are nowhere near it. The stupid music is really annoying, too. I now officially hate the ASPCA. All they've managed to do is make sure I think twice before supporting them, bad move.

this is a free site-----for us. if we don't want to put up with the ads then maybe we need to dig down in our pockets and come up with the money to maintain an ad free site. (aside from the ads placed by breeders, trainers etc) we pay to become premium members on the working-dog.eu web site. maybe something like that is ther answer?

I don't mind the ads that are up there, and have even clicked on quite a few to learn more about some that interested me. It was the ad that was not giving you a choice that irked me. It didn't stop me from using the site, just made me have not nice thoughts about the ad placer
.
