Just to ask members representing voting clubs to consider the repeal of the amendment disallowing membership in other organizations.  I cannot help but believe, politics notwithstanding, that supporting WDA and USA, both of which use WUSV standards and SV judges has got to be best in the long run for the German Shepherd dog.

I agree - hoping clubs will vote against the JA amendment and also for change in the leadership who put it up in the first place.

Our represenative has been given clear cut instructions to vote to repeal the JA amendment! It is our feeling that it will be overturned in favor of only  office holders not being elegible to hold dual membership! Office holders on the executive board! As well as sweeping out the incumbents!

Why should Officers ie: Director at Large be held to a different standard?? Their vote counts the same as any clubs......1 Vote!! Lets get all the facts........How many members did USA lose vs How many members the WDA lost.

It seems as if there is some recognition there needs to be a modification to the bylaws. Two amendment changes are proposed. One eliminating the amendment, the other restricting officers. What happens when the vote is split and neither amendment is voted in? Do things remain the same?

With the current slate of candidates it looks as if the only office that has competition is the office of President. The rest are one position, one candidate.

Will there be a vote on each amendment taken one at a time?
Is there not a competition for National Breed Warden?
It seems to me a shame that either organization had to lose any members when we are all out to protect the integrity of the German Shhepherd Dog.

" Protect the integrity of the German Shepherd Dog"

Thats the funniest thing I,ve ever heard, This has nothing to do with the integrity of the breed the only ones who can effect that are the individual breeders. There isn,t one person running for office that doesn,t have a political agenda in mind not one. There is SO MUCH ass kissing and hand shaking going on by everyone running for office it makes me want to PUKE.

Current office holders,Thick as thieves  and most of the ones running for office are clueless of what it takes to run a national organization with over sea ties. The first thing those running for office need to understand is there is always a side that you will have to pick!!! Wake up folks it,s not lala land. You can,t have your cake and eat it to. Then there is a the raising of dues, People every thing is more expensive you can,t have a Cadillac on a pinto payment.

After the election we won,t be any better off then we are now.

"the only ones who can effect that are the individual breeders".

Damn Bob, you stopped me in my tracks with that one. This is boiling it down to the base.

bob, i understand what you're saying and agree to a point, but as long as people flock to the current winners and literally breed for sport and titles, it does make a difference which organization the handler belongs to.  it makes a difference where they trial and what the scores are.  belonging to one or the other organization can determine whether they go on to fci or wusv.  the high competitions literally do mold the breed.  i'm not saying i totally agree with this thinking, but that's how a lot of breeders decide who they will take their bitch to.  i'm just saying it does matter and will have an effect on the breed.  i wish this foolishness could be settled once and for all.
