I am the owner of Emmi von der Hundshardt. We call her Kasha. We live in Freedom, Indiana. She has been missing since June 2010.  We love her very much and just want her home!

I can understand your heartbreak.......But I am a little curious as to why after 3 months you are just now posting this?  If you have posted it earlier, I am sorry.....I did not see it previously......What happened that she came up missing....Did she run off, or was she possibly stolen?   Regardless, it is terrible that she is not where she belongs......

She maybe just became aware of this board, and decided to post it here too.

All the best in finding your girl!

Red Sable, that is kinda what I was thinking, since the date under the avatar is the 16th of Sept....But was just asking......

I just hope they find their girl...I would hate to have to go through what they must be enduring...Don't know that I could sleep knowing my dog dog is out there someplace...I just hope they get her back.....

I didn't know that this site existed until last night. I wish I had but I am doing everything I can to find her.  We believe she was stolen from our yard, we live in the country on 15 acres. She was an inside dog of course but she loved to get the run of the place every now and then.  We had an electric dog fence and nt one time did we ever have any trouble with her taking off. Also all of the people who live around us are family.  But she was friendly enough that she would have went to anyone.  You have no idea what it is like to wake up every morning without her there. It is like loosing one of my children, not knowing where she is or if she is ok. If you would take a moment to visit her facebook page the link is above.
Thanks,

So sorry to hear this. Too far away to help, but I know what a terrible feeling it is. PLEASE make sure you check all local shelters EVERY TWO DAYS - in person.   I hope she had ID or microchip.  My thoughts are with you.

When you contact shelters, ask if they have any German Shepherd mixes!  They often mislabel the sables and don't realize they're purebred!  Double and triple check and go to see any that they have.  Contact all local law enforcement, shelters, vets, etc.  Put posters on poles and bulletin boards in the nearest towns.  DON'T give up, someone knows where she is!
