What would produce a small oval shaped film over the same portion on both eyes? Not right in the middle but set to the lower outside of the pupil area. It is not white/bluish or appear to be cataracs? It appears to be growing on the outside of the eye not under the lense.

Kali had that on both eyes when I was feeding Orijen, my vet said it was a collection of lipids that appears on the cornea of dogs eating a very rich diet, doesn't seem to bother them or affect their vision. I was so worried that it was pannus, but she said no it wasn't, & since we switched to Canidea, it has disappeared. Hope that helps. jackie harris

Sounds like it could just be an iris cyst. Does it look anything like this? Left eye...

Pannus; get the eyes checked by certified opthamologist; if it is pannus you need to medicate for the rest of the dogs life to save the eye sight. Nan Good luck, I hope it is not pannus.

Have it checked by a veterinary ophthalmologist. There is one in Vacaville.

As always my best advice is to consult a vet you trust.
