I know this has nothing to do with dogs but i can manipulate it so it will have something to do with dogs...
What are your views about the legendary Kellas Cat of scotland?
The Kellas Cat is a small black feline found in Scotland. Once thought to be a mythological wild cat, with few sightings dismissed as hoaxes, a specimen was shot and killed in 1984 by a gamekeeper named Ronnie Douglas.
Its is larger but more slender than the Scottish Wild Cat. The few cats that have been found have been proven to be the result of a hybrid mating between Domestic feral cats and Scottish wild cats but, it is believed it may have founded its own species (debateable) and been breeding in scotland for long time (hence, why it was once a mythological creature)
We all know of the local British rumours that there are wild big cats roaming Britain. God knows how many so called sightings have been reported within the last few years. some believe these sightings are not of big cats but are sightings of Large Kellas Cat's and considering most sightings are of cats who are black like a panther, these view may be considered most likely.
A Kellas Cat which was shot dead, was only killed 'cause the animal attacked two dogs when they disturbed it when it was hunting water fowl.
It is believed the "cat" may have the potential to kill and take lambs and harm domestic pets e.g. dogs.
So what are your views on a creature which is believed to be the source to so many British myths? Is it a threat to the conservation to the Scottish wild cat? Do you see it as possibly being it's own species and deserves special protection of its own?
