Erik Vicona at a Year old - Page 1

Erik turned a year old yesterday so I took some pictures to mark the occasion.  

Hard to imagine the light colored puppy I met at the airport 7 months ago is now this dark sable!

Comments are welcome.  I plan to show him this fall and he's already started his SchH training.

The man holding him is my husband. 

Very nice dog, I bet your husband is a very handsome man too with a nice athletic build, I could tell from the legs

I would like to see what RED SABLE has to comment on the feet !!!

I love his color..How light was he when you got him?  Can you post a pic......Would love to see it....
I am not bashing your dog, I do think he is very nice....however
his feet do look swollen to me.....Maybe its just the way he is standing or just the surface he is on...

It's the surface he's on.  He's sound as a bell.

I've only seen a few dogs with a tight coat, mine being one of them.  It seems it's not the "norm".  There are long coats, plush coats, stock coats but really you never hear of the tight coats.  I have one but you don't see many.  Denises' Kai is a tight coat and looks just like my boy except mine is a teeny bit darker but you don't see many.  Erik Vicona also looks to be a tight coat.  Just like color, how does the coat figure in with genes?
