Think now......What is the ONE thing, that you would do differently with your dog ( with regard to starting training) if you could do it again ? .....................................

With my UD dog- train for the love of training, not just to get titles done. I was still not over the death of my beloved male when I got her, that coupled with her aggression made me have a chip on my shoulder when I trained her. She is 110% respectful and accurate, but was never as spirited a worker as she could have been.

With my SchH1 dog- I never should have quit. Breeding her was a enormous fiasco and had I known she wouldn't have live pups until 5 years old I would have taken her to a SchH3. Stupid, stupid waste of an incredible working bitch.

I am learning from those errors on my new girl, make no mistake!

Train the positions on a bench, from the very beginning.

Mudwick...Is the idea that you have the dog sit, stand and down on the bench..?? Is the reason to keep the dog from being sloppy?
