My family is looking to get a pup in the Nov. Dec. time frame. I would like to start speaking with breeders and get on a wait list if needed. Our price range is around $900.00. The Jacksonville Florida area is not out of range for us either.
I was hoping you all may have the names of some breeders in our area that I could contact.
Temperament is the most important consideration for us. We need a pup that will be mild mannered, smart, and good with kids. Pups that spend their first weeks raised around kids would be good. I am open to all coat colors white, black, standard, etc. If you know breeders of these colors I would like to contact them as well. We are a "pet" home. We will not be breeding the dog.
I spoke to a wonderful women at "Snow White Shepherds," near ATL. She really sounds like she has the type of dog we are looking for. If anyone has received a dog for her I would love to hear of your experience with your dog. Please do so in PM to me though. I just want to be respectful.
We are so excited at the prospect of finding a new companion. If you are a breeder or know of one with a dog that would fit these criteria please leave the info in a PM. We miss our Abbie greatly, and though we will never replace her, having a new four legged friend to dote on will go a long way to heal our hearts. :)
I thank you for taking the time to read this and greatly appreciate your help in finding our perfect pup. :)

Waiting is TERRIBLELY hard :). We just want the weather to be better here. It is so CRAZY hot here this summer. Want to be able to spend as much time as needed outside learning the basic commands, exerciseing, and leash training. That is not very appealing when the heat index is 115 degrees...lol. The hope is by next year this time, with the pup grown and trained we can have safe visits to the beach etc.

She has some really nice working pedigrees, and from what I saw in the past did a good job raising and socializing babies.
If you want to check out rescues, try contacting Molly at Southern Cross. They often have puppies and do a wonderful job with the Georgia dogs.
Best of luck!
