Hello all :)
A friend of mine informed me of these beautiful ladies that are up for adoption near me. I am thinking of going to see them today. From my initial inquirey they are papered pups. They were a surrender from a breeder that could not sell them ( horible I know) They have been spade already and are up to date on shots. They are roughly 5 months and weigh 39 and 34 respectively. They are good with people but like to instigate with other dogs. The man said they do not "fight" but nip to annoy. I have no other dog so this is not a HUGE issue. He says they love attention and cuddles.
I was wondering what other questions you all would ask about them before considering an adoption. As many of you know I have children, 2 young preschool boys. Would this keep you from considering a dog of this age? As you know we are a "pet" home. We are looking for a good companion.
Any input you all could give would be greatly appreciated. http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/17113757 nthis is a link to a picture of them.
Thanks ever so much

They are with a shelter that has has a "all sales are final" policy. Not that i could not return them but there would be no refund. That would be the least of my concerns though. JARM is horriblely under funded in a rural depressed area. It is not a pleasent place. The staff trys real hard but the conditions are not good there. If i can not save them i hope someone can and soon.

Its gonna be hard with a puppy that age and not socialized. But I would go meet them to see for sure what thier personalities are like.

Thank you mobjack for your input, you as well Kellj. I know it will be hard but my boys are the number one consideration I have and that will keep me from making any rash decisions. I am hoping to go today to see how they act and then maybe tomorrow with my youngest son, if they seem mello enough, to meet a child. If i can not give one of them a home a I hope someone can. Wish there was a home for all of them but sadly that is never is the case.

Id be afraid they would have bad hips since theyre not from a good breeder but then again even well known breeders have had bad hips ocassionally. Meeting them and taking for trial basis is best and to start an obedience class right away do not delay.
