I just finished reading a fiction book by Susan Wilson,"One Good Dog". It is a good read, and if you liked, "The Art of Racing in the Rain" by Garth Stein, then you will probably like this book.

The dog character is a pit bull who is a seasoned fighter. The human is a self-made man who loses everything. This is a story of redemption and healing and will make you laugh, and cry.

Anyone else have a dog book they'd like to recommend?

Soul by Tobsha Learner ...nothing to do with dogs..but if you like Victorian setting with modern twist with criminal intend...it's a good one to read...right now I am into "classics" Jane Eyre is my current book of interest...
I do like pretty much anything of John Gresham...and anything else in that genre.

I just finished reading 'The story of Edgar Sawtelle', very good book. Although fictitious, it has a lot of research that was done so things he talks about are based on facts. I think I said that right :(

Bee tree,

I don't know about a book....But I lived with a cantankerous 18 year old mare, that was pregnant.
She was giving birth to her last foal. On a wildness piece of property....After loosing
a small fortune and a bad divorce.

All alone in a little house trailer.....in the middle of no where...did not know anything
about pregnant horses except just keep feeding them.

Beautiful wilderness area....but for a city dude.....I kept my eyes out, for sure.

Lions... Tigers and Bears Oh my!!!

It was the best of times and it was the worst of times.

Wander,
A Tale of two city dudes, finding redemption in the bosom of Gods country. Based on
a true story of a man, trapped in the Bastille of modern player-ship and fakery of human relationship.
Left with one option to seek out truth in the great outdoors. In doing so, breaks the chains of servitude
and unnatural alliances with the rich and powerful dark lords of glitz and glamor.

The best dog stories are the one's you live with daily. It is an on going saga of man and beast, seeking
happiness in a crazy world.

"For the Love of a Dog: Understanding Emotion in You and Your Best Friend"  by Patricia McConnell. This is non-fiction,  very well written wonderful book filled with engaging, heartwarming  stories about dogs and their owners and it gives tremendous insight into the mind of a dog. It is written like a novel, yet it is filled with so much fascinating information and is very educational. A must read for any dog owner.
