I have known of Candlehill Shepherds for about 10 years.  Elizabeth has some of the best working GSD bloodlines in the country. One of her original Stud dogs was the brother of my former working SAR and Bomb dog. I am a K-9 handler for the Geauga County (Oh) Sheriff's Office.
5 years ago I got a female from her.  It learned wilderness Search and Rescue in an unbelievably short period of time.  All of the Deputies were amazed, as was I.
I have a new puppy from her (12 weeks old).   This dog is the single greatest dog I have ever seen.  He arrived on 7/5 at midnight.  On 7/6 he met and won the hearts of our entire K-9 unit, plus around 40 other people throughout that day.
He is remarkably well socialized since Elizabeth and her children work with the puppies from the first weeks of life.  I sent out a T-shirt and my guy knew me at the airport.
We had an open house last weekend with over 200 people, he was wonderful with all of them, including lots of kids.  As we all know, some kids have no idea how to deal with dogs, let alone a puppy.  We will do great Demos together.
This little guy is bold, calm and remarkably smart.  He watched our other dogs use the doggie doors to the kennel and within 48 hours of arrival was using them himself, even though he could hardly reach them.  This is an amazing dog, even for a GSD.
He will make a wonderful SAR dog as he is already doing well with runaways.
I will get all of my dogs from Elizabeth forever because I know I will get a great dog.

It is great to hear such a positive testimonial about a breeder. I dealt with Elizabeth for a short period of time and she was wonderful- always returned emails and phone calls and was as nice as could be. At one time I was seriously thinking about getting a pup from Elizabeth, but life took a turn that has prevented me from having the time to get a dog that needs a job, or any pup for that matter. I really wanted to get into SAR.  If there comes a time in my life when I will once again have the time for a working dog I would love to have one of Elizabeth's pups. For now I have two wonderful, low maintenance rescue dogs. Good luck with your new pup!
The best,
Char
