OG Keystone is hosting Nate Harves

August 27th, 28th and 29th, there will be a Trial and Training Helper Seminar with Nate Harves. He is a Police K9 handler and was previously the training helper at OG Indianapolis Schutzhund und Polizei, until starting his own club OG Landshark. Nate also serves as a teaching helper for Schutzhund USA. He has recently wrote several great articles for Schutzund USA magainze. They are great reads and if you have not read them you should. Articles are Table Training; Theory and Practical Application, Reading the Dog; Communication Without Words and The German Shepherd Dog; Working Dog First and Foremost. If you are a seasoned helper, a new helper, or simply a handler wishing to gain a better understanding of what it means to work a dog in protection, you should attend one of these seminars. The material is presented in a variety of ways; written, through video and hands-on, so each attendee has multiple opportunities to absorb the material, practice, ask questions and get valuable feedback and suggestions on what they can do to improve as a helper. Nate's teaching style is friendly, down-to-earth and often humorous. You won't be bored and you won't be disappointed!

Price: $40 to work and $20 to spectate a day

Look if you are near the area, nate is an excellent helper, he is also has a great deal of fun while he is teaching others as well as working dogs.  I can't say enough for the help nate has given me over the years.  I would reccomend training with him anytime you are given the opportunity.  He was worked several of my dogs  many,many times.  He is a resource  both in training your dog and learning safe helperwork.

Wow, $40bucks, that is nothing. I wish I wasn't stuck on the west coast.

Schutzhund USA Helper Classification Seminar will be taking place on Sunday.  We will be starting at 9 am.
