Looked good. Watched your other one from 11/30. You must have gone to a Dean C. Seminar. Too bad you can't have 2 lines in the trial. ;)

Wow, Mark he looks super. Tons of drive on the track but not hectic at all. Love how he drops like a stone at the articles and pops up in drive but head down at the restarts. Did you put corner right after the article so the dog would always be very careful and not move out without knowing exactly where the track lays? You guys are a wonderful team and you make it look easy but obviously you have worked very hard. Thanks for posting the video, wonderful to watch.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like you have moved on from plow lines and are now using just one tracking line plus a check line for corrections? I watched a video you put up from last year, I think in that video you were using plow lines? Sam I don't know if Mark trains with Dean, but I train with him whenever I am lucky enough that the opportunity presents. He taught me about plow lines. He also always gives credit to the old Germans who taught him about plow lines.
So I would imagine he isn't the only trainer who uses this method? Also I think using a line on the pinch as a check line for corrections is pretty standard amongst most trainers, not specific to any one trainer?

Sue, yeah I know. Knew you trained with Dean a few times too. It would be nice if the US was the same size as Germany in terms of dogs. It would be nice to have every trainer within a short drive. Wouldn't hurt for breeding purposes either! How nice would that be to have every trial, seminar and stud within a reasonable drive?
Anyhow, good luck at the trial, Mark.

Hey guys, thanks for the kind words. I haven't been to a dean seminar. I train with T but i think they are similar. I used the 2 lines (plow) for about 3 sessions. Sue you're right, it's one line and a check line on a prong. Those were pretty hard corrections and he handles it real nice. I put a turn about 4 paces after the article. Keep him on his paws (toes). Also step offs at the article. I'm not going to kill him for the speed because that's the type of dog he is. He does everything with power. That's a good problem to have :). Thanks for the good luck wishes. Anyone going to the Northeast Regionals? We are planning on showing.
