shiloh is her name and she is AKC  i am wanting to breed her after her OFA ex-rays come in.  but in the data base, i had to enter all her family info manually,  and than when i got to her grandpa's info it showed good lines.  all their registry numbers didn't match her paperwork.  so is it possible all my paperwork was faked.
maybe i was duped..  but can i breed shiloh or not without good background.  can i just start all over with just her?  or will i have to get her spayed?  please help with your responses.   jeannie

Ok...I'll bite, here is my .02...
I would never breed a dog that didn't have a solid background, as well as being an excellent example of the breed, regardless of OFA results. And if registry numbers are not matching up, you probably were duped.

Where did you get her from? Have you spoken to the breeder about the numbers not matching up?

I would also personally never "start over" by breeding any dog whose background I was uncertain of.
You have no idea how many problems (health/temperament) may be in the background of your dog. Even breeding two dogs that you know come from excellent producers can produce a litter of unhealthy dogs, or dogs with poor, unstable  temperaments.
There are SO many things to consider before breeding a litter.

May I ask why you want to breed your dog? Of course it is none of my business, but since you asked about if "we" think you should spay her, my answer is "yes"...
You should always breed for the betterment of the breed, and not knowing the history of your own dog is definitely not a good start.

stacy thanks for your imput....i agree with what you said 100%.  i was thinking in the same zone, but wanted answers to all the logic in my case.  your answers were so much what i felt to be looking out for.  so if i can't find a solid background, then i will get her spayed, if her ofa is good, then at least i can sigh a little relief for a few more years, otherwise i would wonder about it all the time.  all about peace of mind.
i feel that i got lucky to get such a good baby.  and i want to do the right thing, cause i want to be sure that her babies will be as good as her and or better.  all her brothers were sold as police dogs, cause they didn't want females.   i feel they don't know what they lost out on...even tho i don't have money to put her into titles.   but non-the-less she is my dog, my baby.

i got someone who is going to help with her background and i thank her as i thank you for your help and input.

Williejean,
I am not saying that what came up as your dog's pedigree is wrong, but if you did it on this database, it maybe an honest mistake. I have noticed on more than one pedigree I have entered myself, there were times when a similar name was automatically added by this database. Ifts kinda like predicted texting.. If you start the name a similar name will automatically fill in. It is really hard to catch sometimes.  I know you said you entered it manually, but just 1 wrong number or letter and you may have created a whole new pedigree, which isn't correct....Maybe if you post the pedigree you did come up with we could look and see if we may see any unintentional mistakes... Just a thought...
