I would like to know any opinions on tipping a good handler that is getting your dogs titled. For instance, if you send a well started dog to Germany to be titled and the handlers are doing a fantastic job and doing more than they promised in regards to working with him to get a higher score, taking him to farther shows to have he presented to judges that will love his attributes both physical and mental. When the dog could pass or do okay they are doing their best to maximize his scores. Just a handler that generally is trying to get the "BEST" out of your animal. This is assuming that the cost of titling is not above or below the average cost to get titles.

Isn't it pretty sad when we get excited about people doing their best at their job? I'm happy you found an honest person and your dog is doing well. Don't know how much you are paying, but tip what you feel is right. Maybe a percentage like a waitress.

Now this person is whose name should be posted in ALL CAPS for all of us to know!

Under request, I can't give his name as he only works with people he knows well or from a very short list of referrals. I would like to not overstep my lines because I plan on using him in the future.
But, I really would like to know a reasonable tip as the economy is bad all around right now.
Thx,
Man

JMO, but if this handler / trainer is in Germany I would probably send a gift as opposed to cash. A thoughtful, generous gift may be more appreciated than cash.
