Neither? They're not exactly quality foods.
Its mostly rice and soy. Not exactly what carnivores are designed to eat.

I cannot get the GS 30, so have never tried it, but my puppies have always done very well on maxi junior.

PS I am pretty sure maxi junior does not contain soy.

Canids are omnivores; the only true carnivores are cats.

Not being an obligate carnivore does not an omnivore make.

Maxi Junior's Ingredients, from Royal Canin's site http://www.royalcanin.co.uk/my_pet/dog_products/size_health_nutrition/maxi_dogs/maxi_junior.aspx:
Vegetable protein isolate is most commonly either corn, or soy.
Maize, maize gluten and maize flour, which comprise the bulk of this food, are clever ways of disguising [aka, hiding the truth from the consumer] that the food is made up of corn.
"Animal fats" and "animal proteins" can come from any animal source, including, but not limited to, "downer" cows that were too ill and unable to walk when they entered the rendering plant, making it illegal to feed them to humans, road kill, euthanized pets and other generally unsavory sources of "animal". You don't call quality beef "animal fats and proteins". You call it beef.
Psyllium, which appears as seeds and husks in this food, is a laxative.
Do any of these ingredients seem like something you *want* to feed your dog?

If kibble is your preference, Innova EVO, Taste of the Wild, Orijen, Wellness CORE, Blue Buffalo Wilderness Salmon, and Instinct are all fantastic kibbles.
Innova EVO underwent a change of ownership recently, so I'd watch them closely for formulation changes, but currently the ingredient list is still excellent.

I've used Canidae All Life Stages Formula for years with excellent results with puppies and adults alike.
