Hmmm Glucosamine?

I was looking at food for my Gsd puppy.. The thing that is puzzling do puppies need glucosamine? Most foods that are top rated don't have it? I am looking for a dry food that would be good for a gsd puppy..

I have heard wellness core for adults is good because it has glucosamine.. and wellness for puppy's does not have glucosamine..
Anyone know of a good dry food to use?
I have heard Blue Buffalo is good but then I heard it was bad..
Advice greatly appreciated

i don't know of animal studies, but Glucosamine supplementation has never been shown to "prevent" problems if given to unsymptomatic people. It has been shown to help if given in high enough doses to those suffering from joint pain though. So as a "preventative" for puppies? I think it's a waste of money really

This website lists most Dry Dog Foods and gives the ingredients. For example, Orijen does contain glucosamine.

Do puppies need glucosamine? I have heard that Wellness is just as good as orijen.. but wellness doesnt have glucosamine and orijen does?

Some people believe that glucosamine with chondroitin can help to prevent joint problems developing, and may also help in cases of weak ears and ligaments, I do not know if there is much hard evidence, but there do not appear to be any side effects.
