Breeder Software - Page 1

Can't remember if I've asked this question here or not, either way I never found what I was looking for.  Does anybody have any recommendations for computer software for breeders?  I am looking for something that will make pedigrees, calculate line breeding, keep track of health,  and to keep track of puppies.

Before my fire I had (I'm pretty sure) its called "Breeder's Choice". It worked well for me, particularily the pedigree portion. I wish I had the info exactly, but I don't have the orig computer back yet.

www.ehretgsd.com/REL.pdf  Here's some excerpts about Reldog Lite (RDL).  RDL has been in the making for some time (at least a couple years), and I'm not sure of it's projected release date.  It's an opensource project, or "freeware" that has been featured at the International Working Dog Breeders Association (IWDBA) conference the last couple years.  It's being developed by a programmer and staff at the Guiding Eyes for the Blind (GEB) and the Minnesota Guide Dog Breeding Center.

Breeder’s Assistant is being used by the Department Of The Air Force in their working dog breeding program.  They also have a couple other freeware utilities, "FSpeed" that will calculate COI,  and "Phenotype Predictor" for calculating genotype probabilities.

Nothing that can't be accomplished with Word or OpenOffice, that I can tell.  For a lot of personal notes and record keeping, I use a various "free" software programs like EssentialPIM, GenoPro beta 13j, CmapTools.
