I am looking to buy a trial sleeve (i.e. a hard sleeve).
One of the sleeves that I am considering is the Dingo (Klin) Schutzhund Bite Sleeve with adjustable handle.
Another is the Schweikert sleeve. Although I am not sure of the difference between the 5982, 5983, 5984.
The Bende trial sleeve 012. It is on a great sale witch makes me suspicious.
Lastly I am also considering the Ray Allen trial sleeve.
Please those familiar with some of these sleeves mentioned give your thoughts good and bad as well a comparisons, if you will. I am somewhat familiar with the ray Allen and Schweikert both of which I liked to wear.
Thanks,
Robert

Robert,
I like the Frabo, my personal favorite. I owned 3 or 4 Frabos and have had some since the mid '90's. I also have a Schweikert sleeve, which I also like. We also have several Ray Allen sleeves and I don't like them at all. IMO, the Ray Allen just doesn't hold up as well as the Frabo. We also have a Gappay and it is too tight on my arm and uncomfortable for me.
Frabo will last you a really long time and be just like new.

I have a Horton's sleeve that was given to me from my first TD the sleeve is probably 10-15 years old and still will match the best of them and looks almost new. They are made here in USA and excellent quality, even the new ones which I will be ordering one by end of year. hortonsquality.com/home.php
I agree that Gappays seem very tight on the arm, and angle is little weird.
Frabos are nice and seem to hold up well.
Belgian Arm great quality but heavy.
Dingos have too much plastic for my taste... they don't look like they last.

Robert:
Bende 12 sleeve is nothing fancy. A light sleeve and short to mid sixze bite bar, however very durable. Where do you see it on sale? I may like to get one. The only problem with the 12 arm is IMO on big biting dogs sometimes the Bende 12 will hinder to getting a full grip. Their is so much bite bar and the dog incisors and canine are on the barrel. I see this sleeve as more of a harder intermediate sleeve. I have own a few and like this sleeve.
Dingo and Klin are the same sleeve, both manufactor in poland. You have to really look at the bite bar angles, they are all different angles. I agree too much plastic also had some rivet come loose and when you slip the sleeve you get scratch almost every other time. Not to many distributors here in the US, something happens you are screwed. Don't care for the customer service at KurtUSA.
Gappay...their bite bars break down too much for my liking on their 110 sleeve. I forget the model # but the Hill sleeve is the sleeve I would by if I wanted a gappay. It is more of a wedge shape sleeve.
FDT sleeve...you can keep them, I think they are garbage...
Ray Allen 213 sleeve is what I am using right now for trial work. Got the sleeve in Jan and used it three trials already/. Light sleeve nice bite angle ,all dogs can carry it. It is basically a better version of Gappay 110. I like that if anything goes wrong with the sleeve ray allen will replace it.
Belgian arm, a nice sleeve, it is a based on the Frabo no 7 sleeve.
Best bet try on the sleeve to see if you will like it. We all have likes and dislikes.

FDT= Fordogtrainer.com.....Their trial sleeves are not worth it. Puppy sleeves you can't beat theie prices.
I am sorry Robert I gave you the description for the 011 sleeve. The 012 is a wide bitebar intermediate sleeve. Not really a trial sleeve.
The http://thebiteshop.com/shop/ has their trial sleeve for $114 with shipping
