OT The blueberries are ripe! - Page 1

Blueberries fresh from the bush must be used right away to make the best pies.  So, even though the heat and humidity are insane, I just had to light that oven.  I think it'll be worth it!  Want some?

<waves hand wildly> Me, me, me! I want some! That pie looks sooo yummy. We need to set up some good old fashioned bartering. I've got green tomato pie I'll trade for blueberry.

When she was here we went shopping for things I didn't have   , like  Rasberries,  Peanut Oil to fry the   CORN FLAKE rolled chicken breast in, and we lost the $9.00 bottle under my back seat and we ranted and raved for a whole night that we must have left it at the grocery store which was 15 mi back in Tyler.

The next day we uncovered it among my many purses, shoes , hair, etc in the floor board..

She made the best desert for me and I make it often  BUT  my speciality is  MY      LEMON MERINGUE    PIE!

What is a green tomato pie?   I love fried green tomatoes !!

I'll have some lemon meringue, please!  I have a funny story about the first time I made a lemon meringue pie, but it's too long to share here.  Some night when I'm wide awake, I'll post it to the insomniac thread, LOL.
