Obedience Brag - Page 1

Some of you might recall that I have Australian Cattle Dogs that I do various sports with including bitework.  Well, my young bitch Frost made her AKC obedience debut in style last month.  Over Memorial Day weekend she made her debut in Novice B going High in Trial.  She finished up the CD the following weekend and I was particularly proud of her 2nd leg as it was an outdoor evening trial and it was storming pretty hard.  Frost can be environmentally sensitive so I was quite proud when during the stand for exam half the ring gating blew over due to the storm and all she did was a momentary cringe.  She completed the remaining working exercises and stays with the ring gating down and was the only dog the Q after the ring gating blew down. 

Fast forward to the last weekend in June, she got her CDX in three straight trials (and best of breed in conformation one day as well).  Needless to say I am very proud of how she is working.  She is just 2.5 years old right now.  She is part way trained for utility but we are taking a break this fall/winter for her to hopefully have a litter before we start actively competing in utility and the eventual OTCH/UDX goal.

Wow,  nicely done, CONGRATS!  She looks to have a real spring in her step too.   I wonder if you are going to breed her to Sinjin?  I always drool over that dog's pictures on your website.  He looks to have so much presence, and is incredibly  regal.  Very cool dog!
