Tonight at 7:00pm ET (4:00pm PT), CNN will air a special, entitled "Jane's Fight For Animal Rights." The show will feature animal rights activist Jane Velez-Mitchell speaking with representatives from HSUS, In Defense of Animals, Sea Shepherd, Farm Sanctuary, and Mercy For Animals. Hardcore animal rights groups, every one. It will also include special guests Bob Barker, Pierce Brosnan and Jorja Fox of CSI.
These radical animal rights groups are being given an unprecedented FULL HOUR of television to spew their garbage, with NOT ONE MINUTE allotted to those who know the truth, that the goal of these groups is to end to our relationship with animals. We have less than 24 hours to let CNN know that their biased and unbalanced reporting is not acceptable, and to demand equal time be given to the opposing point of view. Also known as the TRUTH.
If you value your animals, hunting, and even more, believe in your right to own them, click here. Scroll to the Contact Us section at the bottom of the page and tell CNN you opinion of their decision to air this show. It's a few minutes out of your life, but it could make a huge difference to your future with your animals.
Now it's time to flood CNN with our opposition to this program. Don't let your rights be dictated by elements of the lunatic fringe and clueless celebrities. Do it now!

Mercy for Animals is actually a good group IMO, they are one of the groups listed under "special friends," I would support them. Not PETA or HSUS, I'd rather hear from a less "controversial" group that doesn't say they love animals then bash no-kill shelters. But as far as free speech goes, don't they also deserve to share their opinions on tv?

HSUS, if you've been following them for decades, as I have, used to be similarly as vocal about eliminating pets as PETA. However, they realized that to be obvious with that goal does not give anyone incentive to contrbute to them. Showing up at any animal issue wearing HSUS t-shirts\, and sending cutesy return address labels, and sending solicitations for money showing heartbreaking pictures of sad animals does. So HSUS goes about it differently. Almost all of the money they collect goes towards anti-animal legislation - for instance, MSN with NO exceptions. Well, if that is passed everywhere, isn't that going to elminate cats & dogs??

"The cat, like the dog, must disappear..."
-John Bryant, Fettered Kingdoms: An Examination of a Changing Ethic, PETA
It is time we demand an end to the misguided and abusive concept of animal ownership. The first step on this long, but just, road would be ending the concept of pet ownership."
-- Elliot Katz, President, In Defense of Animals, "In Defense of Animals"

By focusing on legitimate animal abuse cases, they get a lot of PR and MONEY to further their ends of getting rid of people like you. Don't be fooled. I'm sure shows like last nights are causing yet another huge influx of cash to PETA and HSUS.
Their fans also like to imply that if you are against them, then you condone the animal abuse cases they depict, which of course is not true.
