Need to fit (2) 500 crates (side by side)  WITH the second row of seats up (for the kids).

Minivan or SUV suggestions please!  (buying used)

one 500 and one 400 will suffice, but would prefer to fit both 500's

My old trailblazer was totaled in an accident over the weekend and I hate car shopping....want to get a list of vehicles that I know will work and am tired of jockeying crates and seats with the current vehicles.

Thanks!

I had a Surburban and a Yukon.  Crates fit excellent.  Now I have an Infinity G56 the 400 will fit side by side but not the 500.

I know 2 500 sized crates will fit side by side in a Ford Excersion

Thanks for your replies....looking for something better on gas mileage than an excursion/suburban etc and not as pricey as an infiniti.

I'm probably gonna have to go with a 500 and 400 in a minivan, unless someone has any other suggestions.

Thank you though:-)

I use a Chrysler Town and Country minivan. The automatic doors and "Stow and go" seating are great options. Stow and go gives you a tremendous amount of flexibility for seating and dog arrangements. I have a 2005 that was purchased used
it was in great shape, travels easy on long trips. Oh yeah and highway gas mileage is about 25 mpg. I love mine.

Good Luck to you,

I think a minivan will be your best option.

All is well, thanks.  No dogs or kids were in the truck (they were in my bf's truck behind me).  Some twit ran a SS and plowed into me, back is sore but nothing major.

I LOVE my Pilot!! I have a 500 and a 400 side by side in the back, and "could" have the rear seats up. It would not accommodate two 500s side by side, but two 400s would be fine. I am about to downsize the 500 just because the dog keeps "agitating" the crate forward and it scrapes the edge of the cargo area. :-) The milage is not as good as I would like-about 22 hwy.
