Yesterday, I took my dog in for his exam/shots.  I didn't know how he would react, as he had not been to the Vet since getting his series of shots when very young.   He behaved beautifully.   Kissed the Vet and was also great with her Assistant.    Everyone there said he is a gorgeous GSD.

He got a clean bill of health.  She said his teeth were beautiful -- no tartar; ears were clean/no infections; eyes clear; heart worm test was fine; etc.   He weighs 88.6 lbs.   She said he looks great.   I was so relieved that everything is OK.
She also said he is a Good Dog....and that she has had GSD's "lunging" at her -- she complimented his behavior several times.

The Vet did bring up the dreaded "N" word.   I told her that I wanted to wait to get him neutered -- hold off until he is at least 3 years old.

It was a very good day !

Thanks Tarek and Steve -- It is a good feeling to know that your dog is healthy.   "Knock on Wood" - I hope he stays healthy.

That's great Maggie!  I agree with you about waiting till he's 3 for neutering also.  I know they sure push it these days!

I'd love to see more pictures of him, going by the pic in your avatar he has a gorgeous head.

Thanks Red Sable -- here are three of him.  Of course, he is shedding, so coat not the best now.

Keeping "guard" over his Soccer Ball.

Lying on the Decking Platform.

This "Swimmy Pool" leaves a lot to be desired.  He had a much bigger one last year,
but it was a much thinner plastic and he tore it to shreds.   This is actually a sand box.

Glad to hear everything went so well! Isn't it a nice feeling to be able to take your dog out, even to the "v" and get compliments on his/her behavior?
He is a handsome boy! I didn't notice if you posted his name anywhere...
Oh and my dogs have just started tearng up their cheap pool too :-/ Ah well, it lasted since last summer amazingly... I did buy a new one though a few weeks back, since I know they'll be hard to come by and more expensive pretty soon. A "spare" lol...

My last trip to the vet was with Isolina for her rabies shot and right before I walked in a lady commented loudly enough for me to hear that she was skinny, after her little girl pointed out "the pretty puppy"
Anyway I shot her a nasty look and was quite pleased when we came out and had the perfect bill of health papers in hand. I'd wished she was still in there so I could fan the paper in her face that said:
Isolina's Overall Current Condition: Excellent
Weight: Average
Coat/Skin/Eyes: Bright & Shiny
And everything else was excellent too! Makes you feel like you're doing a good job :-) Especially when your dog shows
Good manners and good health, Cheers!!

Thank you Char and Stacy for the compliments and good wishes.

Regarding the Pool/Sandbox -- as I attempt to fill it, he makes the water go back out; his paws are going a mile a minute, as if he is "digging a hole" in the bottom -- water is flying everywhere.   I end up drenched.
