So where are all the "Save the Gulf" concerts? Where are the T.V. Benefits with celebrities and musicians giving heart felt speeches on the poor fisherman, wildlife, beaches, loss of income and sabotaged gulf economy? I find it rather strange how these people (including our own government) are so quick to help Haiti and other countries...but sit on their butts for this one. Just the facts. Post if you agree!!!!!!!!!!!

BP says it will pay for it all, that's why. Of course, they have no idea how much "it all" will be, as there is still a hole in the ocean polluting and killing. It will take years before we know what the real costs are, so who would want to collect money at this time for uncalculated damages? It would only be giving theives and scammers an opportunity to skim off and defraud any such philanthropic funding drive.

Haiti was just rearranged a little by mother nature, the Gulf is now a killing Field, (man made).
All the Kings horses and all the Kings men will never put this back together again.
Neither will all the money on earth.
BP must pay until they no longer exist along with Halliburton.

I'm not feeling like sending money to any of those Southern republicans that were screaming "Drill Baby Drill" not too long ago. Over the past 9 years the oil companies got to deregulate to the point where something like this was inevitable. Greed is an awful, ugly thing. Let those who caused it pay up until they go out of business as a lesson to others. And let those who elect "oil men and woman" into the white house learn to live with a greasy beach.

To beetree I am not saying give money to the whole state! What about the husbands, wife's, and kids of the above that have suffering and grieving family's of the people who lost there live in the explosion
This will end up being the largest man made disaster in history bigger than when the bombs hit the Hiroshima an Nagasaki.

Have you read the stories from the workers about how BP pumped sea water instead of mud? This spill needs to be paid for by the spillers.
