i got a shepherd who is 20 months. i want to get his hips certified.
i don't want to wait to do OFA and i hear SV way is better

i hear SV is better. i shouldn't of said i am in a hurry or made it sound that way. i want to know which is the better "company" more truthful better eye for hips and elbows
what do you "go though"

Paperwork and the mail is what you would go through, and time.

OFA is good enough for me, easy and fairly quick, plus it's good to consider the lines not just the  OFA of a single individual.

I have always been told it all depends on who reads the X-rays and if others concur, support those findings.

I've heard both good and bad about SV and OFA, so it depends on who you talk too.

My Vet looks at them first and gives me his opinion, then sends them off.
More than one person looks them over at OFA, I don't have a working knowledge of how it''s done with the SV.

But the dog should be old enough, mature enough in it's development for a good evaluation.

go with the A stamp the ofa just flips a coin sometimes. It only takes like 2 months to get the a stamp back
