Katylein,

Thank you very much for this post!  I have visited your website and looked at your "Welpen" page to investigate this breeding.  While I am not currently looking to immediately buy a pup and due to financial considerations could probably not afford to import a pup from Europe, I do think that looking into this breeding of yours does help inform and educate me.  Information and education are the primary assets that I hope to gain from this forum.  I would not presume to know what your breeding goals are or what the many factors and considerations might be that led to this particular breeding.  While the mother's pedigree information is available both on your website and at the Pedigree Data Base, I found the sire's pedigree at working-dog eu.  To anyone who might be interested it can be seen here:

While I am not myself a breeder, I do find this to be a very interesting breeding.  But aren't they all!  It seeems that you have broken convention in crossing show and working lines, which may ultimately be the only way the GSD as a whole can move forward.  It would be nice if breeders and buyers alike were all "color-blind", unfortunately we are not, myself included.  Still, I find it reassuring in some way that this "outcrossing" is occuring.  By the way, on appearance alone Max represents to me very much the "old style" conformational ideal which I personally would like to see restored and perpetuated.  I hope the temperament and character of your pups surpasses his beauty!  I notice that this litter is your "A" litter.  Well, I hope that this is only the beginning of much sucess in your breeding program.  After all, your sucess is the only way the breed can be improved upon or restored, depending on one's perspective and desires.  And, of course that means a happy future for all of us!

Peace

If anyone cares to translate my post into German for the benefit of the OP, please do so.  I would use the "Google Translator" but God only knows what this would wind up saying!!!
