Just for a picture of a stable dog.
My two shepherds both working line, a 3 year old spayed female and a 9 month old intact male are at my feet playing 'joust' with their teeth.
Lips are curled, full mouth teeth are bared and they are clacking and jousting to beat the band.
I can reach down with my bad hand into the middle of that and all I receive is a gentle tongue against my hand. In fact, if I don't actively press my fingers against teeth, I never feel them.
IMHO *that* is the picture of a stable mind in a GSD.

*Hangs head*
I couldn't help myself.
They both just remind me of why I'm a lover of the German Shepherd Dog.

I'm sorry but it seems to me as if your trying to see if anyone will steal your dogs.....
and since i hate to disappoint where do you live again? and do you leave any door unlocked routinely or can said canines be found in an easy access yard of some sort?

All these things you've mentioned in all your posts are more common place than you might believe.
There are a lot of great dogs, not just a few.
Most are not even appreciated.
Good to see you appreciate yours.

Back Scarlet I would cry if my babies were gone!
Two Moons you are correct!
I think that as a whole, from what I have witnessed the GSD is a solid breed. I'be just seen so much ... negativity recently on the boards that I wanted to remind people that there are good, solid, reputable dogs out there. That the breed can produce phyiscal soundness, emotional soundness, mental soundness.
I wouldn't trade my GSDs for the world. Maybe they aren't the next champions in the line but they are smart, kind, intelligent, intuative, thinking dogs, and I wouldn't give them up for any other breed.

Don't feel bad RHLAR. Many of us really like hearing these kinds of things. Makes me feel warm & fuzzy inside :-)
I feel the same way about my dogs and I constantly clog the board with more pictures of my *stable* minded dogs loving on my three year old son than I do of them at Schutzhund training. I am just so proud of their dispositions towards my family members and myself.
Your last post echos my feelings exactly!

As much as I would love to have a stable dog, I feel that it would only be fair to the dog to get a stable first. So I shall stick with sable dogs for now.
