Which dog(s) would you rate as the best of the best of the working line bred GSD, in working ability, conformation, & ability to pass those traits? Favorite stud? Favorite female?
ETA: dogs can be past or present. Just curious to see how many of us have the same/similar top picks.

For dams it would be Taila van Tiekerhook
For sires it would be hands down Norbo Ben Ju, Fero Polica, Storm Fronts Brawnson, and last but not least Nick Hellgonbosh

Clarify: overall or alive today and having puppies right now (or these days)? Are we having a daydreaming hypothetical discussion or you are looking for a puppy in the future and gathering facts?

Fixed the typos for you. If he is Googling or researching dogs you mentioned, he won't get too far with the names you gave him.

"For sires it would be hands down Norbo Ben-Ju, Faro Policia, Stormfront's Brawnson, and last but not least Nick vom Heiligenbösch."

Adi,
Just looking to see whom others may pick as their  "top dog".  Either past or present dogs,
Just curious to see how many of us like the same working dogs and if there are good dogs that maybe don't immediately come to mind, but deserve to be mentioned.

Ok. So, it's hypothetical/theoretical. Cool.

My pick is then Askia, female and Fero, male.

My pick Fado von Karthago, asko von der lutter, for sire and Aline v.d. Mohnwiese for female. Just quick thought.

West German dogs: These dogs have produced (even into third generation) BSP, Police, and are themselves BSP dogs:

Males;

Pike Schaufbachmuhle, Belshik Eicke- Bruche, Crok Erlenbusch, Yoschi Dollenwiese, and Half Ruhbachtal. So Mink, Fero, and Korbelbach Via Gildo and Arek Stoffelblick seem to produce the male lines that keep producing for three generations.

Females:

W-Wannaer Hohen litter, any of them. All excellent. Dam of W litter is Dieka Wanner Hohen, herself a BSP dog. She is rated number 2 all time great producing female in Germany.

Askia Froschgraben BSP
Forma Karthago BSP

Sorry, could not narrow that list down. They all have contributed almost equally IMO to the quality of the current dogs: first and second and third generations these listed dogs are still very influential.

Another male, Tom Leefdalhof..over the Mink lines, was and is, still producing awesome World level dogs in Belgium and Germany.

Link to Belshik just for FYI:

(He is an old dog, I believe it is him at eleven years of age in the video in the beginning).

A working dog that was BSP and Police producer.
